Concerts For Kids' Community Day Was a Success
On May 22nd, Image Audiovisuals participated in the 5th Annual Concert For Kids' Community Day. Our assignment this year was to paint the railings at Denver’s Montebello High School.
A team of community-minded students from Rock Canyon High School came out to help us, and together we hit a home run.
Our day kicked off at Coor's Field with opening remarks given by Senator Michael Bennett. After a brief walk through of the high school with the Denver Public Schools painting supervisor, we grabbed our brushes, broke up into smaller teams, and got started.
I am happy to report that we completed all of the assigned tasks (and more!) with time to spare. After a full day of prepping, painting, and clean- up, we headed back to Coor's Field for some live entertainment and well-deserved food and beverage.
I would like to personally thank Dave Kreutz, along with the 10 students from Rock Canyon High school who helped make this year a success.
It was the biggest year yet as Concerts For Kids benefited 42 non-profit sites with help from over 700 volunteers. I would highly recommend participating in this annual event, or in any other event that allows you to give back to your community.
