Superior customer service is critical to successfully competing in the meeting and events industry. At Image Audiovisuals, we take pride in delivering excellent customer service on every job – no excuses.
We have compiled a list of tips for providing excellent customer service in the hospitality industry:
Understand Your Customer – Try to see things though your customers’ eyes. Always ask for feedback and soak it up. Pay close attention to complaints, as they are a wonderful gift in disguise.
- Create an Atmosphere of Excellence - Let it be known to your team that anything less than excellence is unacceptable. You must enable your employees to provide immediate and generous customer response, since outstanding customer service starts at the top.
- Exude a Service Attitude – Exude an attitude of outstanding customer service - take pleasure in serving others, be a good listener, and spend time identifying your customers’ needs. It is essential to assist your customers with setting realistic expectations - try to under-promise and over-deliver, but above all, always follow-through with what you say you'll accomplish.
- Go the Extra Mile – Build close relationships with your customers by going the extra mile. Be on the lookout for extra ways to serve your customers - consider passing along a piece of industry news, or sending a personal handwritten note.
